ABOUT BROTHERS IN ARMS

The genesis of the Foundation is the story of LT Brendan Looney, US Navy SEAL and 2004 United States Naval Academy graduate, who was killed in southern Afghanistan when his Black Hawk helicopter crashed during combat operations in 2010. While in high school and at the US Naval Academy, LT Looney was an active member of the football and lacrosse teams. He recognized the value amateur athletics could play in the lives of young men and women and the unifying effect of amateur athletics among diverse groups of people.

UNDER ARMOUR
BROTHERS IN ARMS CLASSIC

Brothers in Arms Foundation will host annual athletic and entertainment events to benefit the Foundation's mission to increase awareness of military service and support assistance programs for active duty military and veterans. In 2013, Under Armour Brothers In Arms Classic will be held in California, Maryland, and Louisiana and will feature over 40 high school teams from across the United States. The Classic offers a unique opportunity for young athletes from across the country to gather together in honor of LT Brendan Looney and learn more about true leadership and sacrifice. It will no doubt inspire a generation of future leaders.
